In a world where dragons and humans are mortal enemies, a brave little girl and a fearsome dragon form a friendship and bring to life an extraordinary tree. 

When Babola saves Brynic from detection by concealing his tracks, he wonders if all humans are as dangerous as he thought. As a fire threatens the villagers, Brynic must decide whether to risk his life to save just one or all of them.
