Storytime Video & Lesson Plan!

  • Sunlight filtering through trees in a forest
  • While on an adventure in the Muir Woods National Monument, home of the Redwood Forest, in California, I was enchanted by how the trees on the forest bed grew. It was as if they grew only where the Redwoods provided sunlight. The Bay Laurels bent and stretched in the most fascinating ways!

One particular tree stretched over the path and its branches grew straight up! Sadly, I asked my husband to take a picture of the tree…but standing in a forest of trees, he took many great pictures, just not one of this particular tree.

When you get a chance, you must visit the Redwood Forest!
